Privacy
In force from 2 October 2026.
Who we are
RoomViz (roomviz.net, the RoomViz app at app.roomviz.net and the desktop app RoomViz Studio) is run by Ahmed Rashad, trading as Dunpix Studio, Cairo, Egypt (not yet registered as a company). We decide how your personal data is used.
Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
This website
roomviz.net sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising code. If you pick a light or dark theme, that choice is kept in your own browser only.
Like every web server, ours records technical logs (IP address, browser, the page asked for, the time) to keep the service secure. They are kept for 14 days and then deleted.
The app and your account
Account: your name, email address, and if you give them, your phone number and language. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash. If you turn them on: passkeys, two-factor settings, and the Google account you sign in with.
Sessions: the devices you are signed in on, with their IP address and browser, so that you can see and end them.
Projects: what you and your team enter: costs, payments, vendors, notes, pictures of invoices and receipts, budgets, and the drawings, 3D models, renders and schedules you publish from Studio.
Client links: when a link you made is opened, how many times, and the questions the client asks.
Notifications: if you allow them, the push address your phone gives us.
RoomViz Studio
Studio keeps your projects on your computer. Nothing leaves it until you publish to a RoomViz project, which sends the drawings and files listed in the publish preview.
If you add your own key for an image model, the pictures and instructions for a render are sent to that provider under its own terms. RoomViz does not see or keep that key on its servers.
Why we use it
To run the service you asked for (your account, your projects, publishing and sharing), to keep it secure, to send the emails the service needs (sign-in codes, invitations, notices), and to answer you when you write to us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) runs our servers and database. Backblaze stores pictures and published files in a private bucket (in the European Union); they are served only through the app, after it checks who is asking. Cloudflare carries our traffic and may check for bots. Brevo (France) sends the app’s emails: sign-in codes, invitations and notices. MXroute hosts our mailboxes, so what you write to an address at roomviz.net, and our answers, are kept there. Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Each works for us under a data processing agreement, and only for these purposes.
Who sees your project
The people you invite, each by their role: owner, manager, contributor or monitor. Contributors do not see the percentage or the client’s money.
Your client, through a link you make, sees only what you switch on for that link. A new drawing reaches the client only when you mark it “Client sees”.
Cookies in the app
app.roomviz.net uses one cookie that keeps you signed in, for up to 60 days, and a few that protect sign-in from abuse. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
While your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal details are removed or made anonymous; entries you made in a shared project stay in that project under an anonymous name, because the project’s accounts depend on them. If you own a project, you hand it over or delete it first.
A picture or file that is deleted or replaced in the app stays in our storage as an older version for 30 days, and is then deleted.
Nightly backups are kept for 60 days and then deleted; the copy taken before each update of the app is kept until five later updates have replaced it.
The old RoomViz
The old RoomViz (its web editor, its plugins and the service behind them) closed in October 2026, before this RoomViz launched. Its projects and rooms are not carried over. A few of its accounts are: those of the people who had made rooms or projects with it or used its plugins, the person who bought its Founding plan, and our own. For each, we copied only the name, the email address and the language into a new RoomViz account, with the old account’s identifier to answer questions about it; no password, room or project. We did this so that these people keep their place, and the Founding plan’s holder the plan they paid for. If yours is one of them, we wrote to you when this RoomViz launched: you sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email, and you can delete the account at any time in the app’s settings, or ask us to at [email protected]. Everyone else who had an account there makes a new one here.
What the old service held (accounts, projects, rooms and the files uploaded to it) is no longer online. It is kept in a private archive for 90 days after this RoomViz launched, only to answer requests about it, and then deleted, except the records of plans bought (the buyer’s name and email, and the sales records), which are kept to honour the plan and as accounting law requires. To ask for a copy of your data, or for its deletion before then, write to [email protected].
The old service used Clerk for sign-in and LemonSqueezy to sell its plans. This RoomViz does not use Clerk; the old accounts at Clerk are deleted once they are in the archive. LemonSqueezy still handles the one old plan that continues, the Founding plan, as the merchant of record and under its own privacy policy, and keeps its own records of the old sales; it sells nothing else for RoomViz.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to a use of it. Most of this you can do yourself in the app’s settings; for the rest, write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
You can also complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center, or to the data protection authority of your country.
Security
Traffic is encrypted. Passwords are hashed. Two-factor sign-in and passkeys are available. Pictures and design files are never public: every request is checked against the project’s members and links.
Children
RoomViz is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this notice, we publish the new version here with its date, and tell account holders by email before a change that matters takes effect.
